Operational Research Epidemiologist

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF assists people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.

Main Purpose of the post

Implementing, monitoring and supervising the Cutaneous Leishmaniasis Clinical Trial according to MSF standards and study protocols approved by Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan.

Main Responsibilities

Participate in defining the objectives of operational research, developing research protocols and methodology.

Ensure compliance with MSF laboratory protocols and Standard Operation Procedures, report any deviations.

Oversee data collection, providing relevant analysis and reports.

Monitor accurate completion or research related forms, registers and participants files.

Supervise and evaluate Clinical Trial Team, induction of new staff.

Contribute to the team’s capacity building, perform various HR related administrative tasks.

Collaborate with regular CL team and other departments of the project (Operations, Logistics, Finance, HR)

Ensure confidentiality of all research related documents and participants’ personal details.

Assist in organizing and participating in inspections and audits by regulatory authorities.

Participate in internal and external meetings, and collaboration with external partners.

Assist in writing of scientific papers and research reports.

We are looking for a candidate who is autonomous, proactive and flexible. Previous experience in research, epidemiology and team management is essential.
