Cash Applications Specialist

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Collections Manager, the core responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Download bank statements from RBC, Wells Fargo and Nat West – Daily (30+ bank accounts)

Post and Apply incoming payments (from various sources) to the customer accounts within GP - Daily

Enter GL payments as required from Cash receipts

Enter debit notes into GP for returned payments

Maintain internal filing system online

Assisting with Ad Hoc requests such as information for audits

Other duties as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have excellent organizational and communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office – Intermediate in Excel

Microsoft Great Plains knowledge a plus

Strong overall computer skills

Maintain a high level of professionalism while working with clients (external and internal)

Highly proficient at multitasking

Willing to work in a very fast paced, high volume environment

Must be comfortable taking initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision

Proven ability to work as part of a team

Must be detail oriented

Flexibility to work overtime at critical periods when required

Ability to work under tight deadlines and meet performance targets as established by management

Solid administrative and organizational skills a must with ability to adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
