Senior Database Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator with 3-4 years of experience in the solution development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL development, data transformation, and database performance tuning. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage and optimize complex databases and provide critical insights to improve data management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Database Development and Maintenance:

Complete database development tasks, including authoring stored procedures and functions.

Review and optimize queries for performance improvements.

Develop and maintain data processing and reporting solutions.

Data Transformation and Integration:

Develop data transformation solutions primarily using SQL.

Design and implement data integration and migration strategies.

Ensure adherence to data management principles and best practices.

System Analysis and Testing:

Perform system and/or integration testing to ensure reliability and performance.

Conduct system analysis and design to optimize database operations.

Problem Solving and Critical Thinking:

Apply critical thinking skills to solve complex database problems.

Provide insights and recommendations for database performance tuning and optimization.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with functional teams of different technical experience levels.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet business requirements.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

Experience and Skills:

3-4 years of experience in the solution development lifecycle for developing and maintaining data processing and reporting solutions.

Proficient in SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored procedures, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.

Skilled in performing system and/or integration testing.

Strong knowledge of data integration, data migration design, and implementation.

Proficient in system analysis and design.

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
