Job Responsibilities:
To efficiently manage all aspects of the operations of the business unit for achieving the operational performance on multiple parameters of profitability, growth, image, and vitality within the plans and strategic operational objectives of M&J for the business unit;
Provide all-round leadership through enabling, firm decisions, clear guidelines, accessibility, and visibility to departments, empower the departments with the requisite delegation with corresponding controls towards the organizational goal to ensure the day-to-day management to meet stakeholders’ expectations;
Formulate operational directions and competitive strategies through operational analytics, and benchmarking and set challenging operational goals in consultation with the senior management team;
Draw the annual plan/expense budget of the Operation unit (GFL), execute the approved plan, and efficiently manage the expenses and the required aspects of the business operation towards profitability and growth;
Ensure appropriate manpower and other resource, alignment of employees and teams commensurate with their multi-tasking performances, productivity, and growth;
Achieve, maintain, and improve capacity utilization ratio (CUR) along with other manufacturing operational key performance indicators of the plant(s) and machinery as set by the management from time to time;
Monitor productivity, facilitate engineering and maintenance, process and facility optimization, on-time delivery with cost control, and ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the production plan versus actual daily to take appropriate and timely measures in case of deviations or need for re-alignment;
Implement best operating practices and ensure relevant SOPS are in place and followed as a system according to existing policies to maintain the completeness of all regulatory and buyer compliances, and to provide an accident-free environment for employees by promoting and implementing safe working practices;
Ensure clarity of departmental JDs, set required KPIs, and ensure performance assessments regularly for effective and efficient resource utilization through challenge, feedback, coaching, and training;
Nurture cooperation and proactively handle internal-external relations as and when needed;
Carry out any other operational tasks as assigned.
